Refrigerated Volkswagen Crafter

Autonomous zero-emission cooling for last mile deliveries

Carlsen Baltic’s multitemperature box body with autonomous cooling system features deep freeze, chilled and ambient compartments, allowing to transport a variety of temperature controlled products at the same time. Chilled compartment temperatures (+5 °C to +12 °C) can be easily adjusted as per customer’s requirements. Side doors, symmetrically placed on both sides of the body, ensure an easy access to the specific product range and a better temperature stability during multi-drop operations.

Mounted on Volkswagen Crafter chassis cab, the body offers up to 1,000 kg payload on a 3,500 kg vehicle. Zero-emission eutectic refrigeration makes it ideal for inner-city distribution and last mile deliveries in residential areas.

Key features:

  • Autonomous, maintenance free cooling system with no connection to powertrain
  • Payload up to 1,000 kg
  • Zero-emission, zero-noise eutectic refrigeration
  • Three temperature zones in one vehicle (−25 °C, +5 °C to +12 °C, ambient)
  • K value: < 0.24 W/(m²K)
